So you are saying that people who claim asylum arent getting a health screening? Why not?
People who apply for asylum get health screening, police records, schooling, work-related, background of relatives, political connections, military experience, religion, & on & on. The process takes years, with repeated interviews, & it isn't over until the very end, if successful. Anyone with a criminal record is dropped immediately, or having entered illegally & been expelled from the US previously, TMK.

I know. I was hoping to get Boneyard to defend his nonsense.

if you replace refugee for asylum, then you are correct.
a refugee is someone applying for status from outside US (usually at a UN-run refugee camp), once their vetting/screening successfully completed, then they will grant admission into US. That process usually takes years from start to finish.
an asylum seeker applying for status at a US port of entry and the process takes a couple hours to complete before CBP grant them a parole to enter US while waiting for their asylum pending application. Do you honestly believe you can vet/screen a foreigner in a couple hours before you cut them loose into US?
People entering LEGALLY wouldn't have head lice or any other known illness. They are also required to get vaccinated and have a recent health check up. Also, a background check. These things are happening due to trying to enter illegally, circumventing our laws.
If these people were following the legal path, this wouldn't be happening. On the off chance that some of them actually DO quality for asylum, then it would be understandable that they traveled while ill or didn't get vaccinated.
Of course, there is no legal way for these people to enter the country except through political asylum because those are our immigration rules. Coming ILLEGALLY needs to be stopped. Stop it in their own country! Improve conditions in their own countries and they won't want to come here. We can't take the entire world in--there seems to be no end to it.
Yes, most Democrats feel the same way I do--it's the politicians on each side that have gone to extremes.

People arriving legally step off a plane, answer a couple basic questions-rarely anything health related, and walk off the planes. no checkup nothing. And if you are worried about head lice....you should probably never be around kids that attend school.
And this is about asylum seekers-ALL of whom will get a health checkup etc. You really dont get the topic do you? Just fear, uncertainty, and doubt nonsense.
Ridiculous -- if protocol is followed, checking for illness is and always has been a part of the process. This makes it seem like regular health care checks aren't the standard --- they are.
And, we have millions of illegals who went through no health checks at all due to their illegal entry into the US
Fun fact, enterovirus 68 has no vaccine. Fun question, what are they carrying this time?
Fun fact about enterovirus 68-the VAST majority of cases were from the US historically. Like I said, they have more to fear from us. Do you really need to distort reality this much to hate on these folks?

Yah, a parole isn't a grant of asylum. It's just a first step, & TMK the interview/review process kicks off for asylum seekers too. It isn't the same or a parallel process as the refugee application process? I understood that the only substantive difference (in the interview/vetting) is that a refugee doesn't have to be on US soil, but can apply @ a US consulate or embassy.
