Just what we need. A lot of sick people spread amongst us. This nonsense has to end.

It's cold and flu season. Of course people are going to be sick with colds and the flu.

The rest looks like a whole lot of fearmongering. Head lice OMG!! HIV?? Nobody here in the USA has HIV!! The typhus cases (all dozen of them) seem to have stemmed from the large homeless population in L.A., not from the migrants who were not anywhere near the border when it started. Maybe you could donate money to causes that help the homeless or go volunteer yourself! That would be more productive and helpful than posting conspiracy theory website articles.

Millions of people from nearly every country on earth visit the United States. Some of them carry in illnesses. Best thing to do is make sure you're vaccinated. You could hunker down in your house, lock your door, and cling to your gun, but that isn't going to give you any quality of life. The only thing to fear is fear itself and all that.

Eva Air almost deny my boarding from Taiwan back to US because I was sneezing like a mofo (I have seasonal allergy). Once I landed at LAX, CBP at LAX sent my butt to secondary inspection to make sure that I wasn't sick.

Thousands of migrants from undeveloped central America countries, possibly malnourished, living in unsanitary & crowded locations, and travelled thousands of miles.... impossible to be sick, right?

but yeah, fearmongering, right?

We have to be careful with diseases being spread but like the border security itself the Left looks at it as a joke.

What kind of world do the Dems live in where all immigrants are upstanding people that only want to work and pay taxes. The criminals are the ones that take advantage of the poor immigrants and the real criminals that are serving time are victims of a racist justice system?

I wonder how the top Dems that champion for the Rights of illegal aliens would feel if one of their loved ones caught a strange disease from one of the "migrants"?

There are many American parents that refuse to get their kids immunized due to possible side affects so they are open to disease that has been eradicated in the US.

They all cry when a "migrant" child dies and it is sad but will they also shed tears when an American child dies after catching a disease from an illegal alien? I doubt it.

Since people literally fly in and out of the USA from countries all over the world every single day, their children are at the same risk of being exposed to illnesses like chicken pox and measles whether or not migrants are entering the United States. We have preventative care available (and actually, so do kids in Guatemala and Honduras and Mexico...), so to decide not to use it is deciding that they want to take that risk and is on those parents, not anyone else.

Don't forget about the ISIS terrorists that are carrying the Ebola virus in their backpacks across the Mexican border into the USA. Has Trump not gotten around to reviving that scare tactic yet?

They've said that they have treated lots of colds and flus, lots of head lice, a few cases of tuberculosis, and a few cases of HIV. Colds and the flu is running rampant in the USA right now as it does every year; it has nothing to do with the migrants. Head lice goes through preschool and kindergarten classrooms all the time. They are harmless, albeit icky. There are people in this country who have tuberculosis and HIV.

So yes, fearmongering. The homeless in large cities are also malnourished, living in unsanitary conditions, exposed to crowds, and probably teeming with head lice, colds, the flu, and, on occasion, HIV and tuberculosis... and nobody is screaming and running away from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and so on, because they're terrified of contracting these illnesses. You're more at risk of catching something from the subway or bus in any city than you are from migrants at the border.

is that why there was a typhus breakout in Skidrow (largest homeless encampment in US) in Los Angeles a few months ago?

but hey, we already have diseased people in America, so let's import more diseases from unchecked foreigners into our country?

also, is that how Native Americans almost got wiped out from diseases brought in by Europeans?

This is fear mongering at its finest. And even so, I am still shocked at how many fall for this nonsense.

Fun fact, Nazi propaganda also went after jews blaming them for disease.

https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/conte...ing-the-public

Quote:
A recurrent theme in Nazi antisemitic propaganda was that Jews spread diseases. To prevent non-Jews from attempting to enter the ghettos and from seeing the condition of daily life there for themselves, German authorities posted quarentine signs at the entrances, warning of the danger of contagious disease. Since inadequate sanitation and water supplies coupled with starvation rations quickly undermined the health of the Jews in the ghettos, these warnings became a self-fulfilling prophecy, as typhus and other infectious diseases ravaged ghetto populations. Subsequent Nazi propaganda utilized these man-made epidemics to justify isolating the “filthy” Jews from the larger population.
