I am unsure why anybody needs to fund the caravan. Things can happen spontaneously, without any behind-the-scenes funding. "Hey, Pablo! We're heading for America. Wanna come with us?"
Besides, the United States has only itself to blame for the caravans. "We're the best country in the world, only here can you succeed, only the US offers immigrants the prospect for success, people all over the world would love to move to the US." Well, no. People in the developed world are quite happy where they are; people in the undeveloped world take the hyperbole at its word, and think that American streets are paved with gold. Pro tip: they're not. There's a reason why Canadians, UKers, Australians, Germans, and Frenchmen are not lining up to try to get into America, and it's not because America outshines their home countries. It's because America offers nothing they don't already have. In many instances, it often offers less.
Here's a hint, America: Stop talking about yourself as the best country in the history of the world. Be humble. Admit that you are one among many choices for immigration. Admit that you are not the best among world countries. There is much to admire about you--but you are not the only country that allows freedom of speech, of the press, of religion, and of association. You are a typical first-world country. If you'd only shut up about how great you think you are, you might have far fewer asylum-seekers.
It looked really well financed, too, especially considering every Democrat seemed to donate money to the cause if you believe some of the wacky conspiracy nuts in this thread.
The only interesting (to me) question is who paid to organize and send the migrant caravan to the US?
Someone(s) had to provide buses; publicize the trip and convince people the U.S. streets are paved with gold or whatever they said; provide enough water and food to sustain life.
The impoverished migrants couldn't pay much, if anything.
I'm sure criminal elements such as MS-13, took advantage of the caravan to plant criminals or drug mules (they'd be fools if they didn't) but organizing it in the first place seems like too much work for too little payback. It's not hard, obviously, for them to send people, drugs and guns across the border as is.
The Russians? Dumping all Central America and Mexico of uneducated, impoverished people would overwhelm U.S. social, educational, health and law enforcement which Russia/China/Iraq would like.
Again, it seems like cyber attacks would be easier and cheaper.
So who instigated this?
Someone like George Soros? Could the left think Trump would allow all the migrants in the U.S? This caravan has done much more damage to Mexico than the U.S.
The lazy, biased mainstream news media will never investigate this.
Where did the money to set this in motion come from?
That's a good question and I would say it came from one of the following
1. Soros
2. Hollywood elites
3. Some big business types who don't like Trump's tariffs
4. The Clintons
I want to know where they showered and went to the bathroom.
In every pic I saw they were spotlessly clean, despite traveling on foot for weeks, sleeping on the ground and camping in the dirt. Their feet and shoes should have been black with dirt. Their clothes should have been filthy.
Whatever happened to the caravan, anyway? Remember when Trump, Hannity/Fox News, and City-Data Trump supporters told us that we were going to be "under attack" as the caravan "invaded" our country?
Sure, there was that one dramatic day last month when the caravan got stopped at the border. I think one border security guy got hit by a rock, that was about it.
What happened to the invasion Trump said was coming?

They were clean. It defies logic.
Not when you realize it was a well funded political stunt from the beginning. I'm surprised they weren't all wearing new Air Jordans!
"The" caravan was but a small percentage of migrants for an average year. Not really a significant development immigration policy wise at all. It just got a lot of attention running up to the mid terms from the Republicans.
If there's any conspiracy angle here I would also think it would be coming from those who shouted about it the most...

They are stopped in Tijuana, but you already knew that. Ask the Mayor of Tijuana how he feels about the results of the mass influx of the caravan’s effect on his city.
Ok, I researched "New World Order". It's a conspiracy theory. People who believe in conspiracy theories make this country weak.
More like those that blindly follow directions (sheeple) and don't entertain thought that very powerful people on this planet have their own set of beliefs that don't necessarily align with the well being of America are the ones that make this country weak.
Two rules to live by:
1. Question everything
2. Always follow the money...
