Wow a lot of members here that are known Democratic party supporters saying how they like Jim Webb and wanted him for president. Fact is there are probably a lot of you felt that way yet he was shunned by the DNC and the media what does that say?

Fact is I rarely agree with Democrats, even less with progressive liberals and I was ready to vote for him for president, to vote for the first time for a Democrat but it's clear that progressive liberals rule the Democratic party now.

What really is telling, is how he was scowled at by the other candidates and the crowd when he said this..........

Jim Webb is a stand up straight shooting Copenhagen dipping Scots-Irish.

He wouldn’t work for Trump.

Webb was Navy Sec'y under Reagan, over 30 years ago. An interesting factoid is that he resigned because he was upset that Reagan, who had skyrocketed military spending, wasn't spending enough for Webb's tastes.

He also was a highly decorated Marine Lt. in Vietnam, including two purple hearts. I'm sure he's a great man, but probably would not be a great choice for SecDef.

I don't know that he was shunned by the DNC, but just that he announced, and then barely campaigned. The first test for any presidential candidate: can he/she run a competent campaign? If he can't run a campaign, how is he going to run the country?
