People are forgetting about the fact that it's illegal to hire an illegal immigrant. That's a worse crime to me. Point fingers at the employers. Go after them. Trump is never going to get anything done if he's focused on building walls and running after millions of foreign nationals.

It's the obvious solution that they are IGNORING.
Are you implying that if a wall were constructed, business people in the united states who hire illegals, would be flying them into the country, instead of them trying to get through an impenetrable wall?

Bob.

When you decide to be less ignorant and you want to have an adult conversation I'll give you the time you deserve, until then please shut up and let adults talk.

Drug trafficking is actually a different issue, that's small part of the problem we have. Building a wall just to stop that won't change much.
Again, the cold hard data and the US Border Patrol disagrees with all of your points. Shouldn't we listed to the people who are actually trying to secure the border for a change?

This is the basic problem in 'compromise.' The disagreements are too great.

Immigration reform is not a Wall. To take someone's words and spin them is Fake News.

"...Castro, a Mexican-American politician who previously served five terms as the mayor of San Antonio, countered that as president he would "make sure that we invest in sensible, smart and effective border security that includes personnel, that includes the smart use of technology and that does not scapegoat these immigrants but tries to look for a way that we can get to comprehensive immigration reform to fix our broken immigration system."...
I read the entire article, and he DID say the things you put in bold, but the one sentence where he stated ,
Trump's policy " is not stopping immigrants from coming into the country.", speaks volumes as to Castro's stupidity, and the absolute need for a wall to stop people from entering the country in the first place.
Why is that policy so hard for you liberals to understand?

Bob.

No. I'm confused as to how you came up with that.

People come here on their own free will. No one is importing them. But they do this because they know they can find a job. If we went after employers with hefty penalties, illegals wouldn't be able to find jobs and would stop coming to the United States unlawfully. There would be no incentive for them to do that. It's really simple.

Most don't physically cross the border anyway. They fly here on tourist visas and just stay. A wall would do nothing.

The latest data shows that about half of them come across the Southern Border. Why can't we built a wall AND address those that hire illegal aliens?

I'm a right leaning person, who voted for Trump and does not support illegal immigration, but I think building a great wall across the southern border is a stupid idea that would achieve nothing in addition to being fiscally irresponsible.

We have to go after the industry to that profits off of illegal aliens. It would actually be easy to do. We wouldn't even have to pass any laws. Enforcement is just going after the wrong people, and getting nothing done.
