They are the experts but it doesn't make sense to me. If we can see through it to see the immigrants then the immigrants can see through it to see the agents. They will watch, learn our patrol rotation, and wait in the bushes until a patrol leaves, then attempt to breach.

I think we're better off with neither party seeing through it and relying on technology to see them (wall-mounted cameras, infrared sensors, drones) that they are less likely to have.

Yes - that is the extent of their magical thinking.

Wonder if Trump can accomplish all this with 5.7 billion dollars?

And the cost to maintain such a structure?

I swear some of these posters need to use the brain that God gave them instead of drooling at the sound o Trump's folly.
There is no plan to build anything in the Rio Grande. Surely you’ve done your homework on this topic and already knew that though, right?

Exactly.

I'm all for using multiple forms of border security in conjunction with each other.

Including physical barriers.

It's not a one thing or the other proposition.

Merely addressing the poster who thinks there is.

Perhaps you should focus on him/her.

No, I’m focused at present on you because you joined the conversation swinging insults around as usual. Do you have anything topical to add to the discussion, or should we just let a moderator know now that you’re trolling here?

You've been given the answers over and over again---not only by me but by many others.

Yet here you are, asking again and again. Enough

It shouldn't be, but the Pubs have made it that.

Just over a year ago, their big tax cuts for the rich blew the bottom out of the deficit.

So, we don't have the means to do everything. We have to pick and choose.

tRump picks a medieval wall. It's something Trumplings can understand.

The Border Patrol wants technology. Understanding technology ins't as straightforward.

So, the GOP says "wall."

Pelosi says "tech."

tRump sez...

..."Limbaugh told me to shut down the gummint!"

Yup! That goes against the art of the deal.

Too bad it’s a terrible offer. We’re not giving something permanent for something temporary.

Individual 1 is just trying to change public perception.

So you acknowledge the number is a likely a lie?
