From your link: "The agreement means 55 miles of new fencing." That's not a down payment, that's a defeat. I'm pretty sure he got more last year. This was a Trump fumble that was recovered by the Democrats and returned for a touchdown.
Speaking of which, haven't they still not spent last year's money? Not much of an emergency then, no?
Send the WORTHLESS Congress back home!
They don't have what it takes to MAGA!!!
Close it down and declare a National Emergency unlike any other in US History.
Wow, the Trump supporters are really mad about this deal. I like the comment about how Trump "negotiated" from $1.6 billion down to $1.3. Yep, giving things away and getting absolutely nothing in return is certainly a sign of a "master negotiator."
Apparently, Lindsey Graham believes Trump will accept it. It's going to be great fun to watch his supporters justify this. BobNJ1960 has given us a preview of the kind of pretzels they will twist themselves into to pretend this is some kind of a win for Trump. Funny, funny stuff.
Between this and the tax cuts that have cost millions of Americans more in taxes owed, this has not been a good week for Trump.
Great beautiful concrete wall from sea to sea + Trump negotiating skills = 55 miles of slats in the Rio Grande valley. Let's pray the Great Negotiator can do better with North Korea.
Looking it over, it does provide for about twice as many miles of new slats as the previous bill did (55) and in the area where the border patrol has a high fencing priority. Looks like Democrats came through on this. 55 miles will keep the contractors busy.
