The country is indeed going to hell, but Pelosi is not on vacation. You have been misinformed.

She's been in DC. House passed bills to reopen the government. Awaiting action by the Senate.

The person missing in action is McConnell.

#where'sMitch.

Deripaska the Guy who owned Manafort and Trump.

The GOP Senate is now in bed with Putin and his oligarchs. I would watch for stories on large cash payments being made to GOP PACS.

Putin will not miss this opportunity.

Wondering where Romney and the other Republican Senators think this is going.

It's one thing to support Trump and his shutdown. Quite another to come out supporting Putin's pals.

The average illegal won't have such vehicles---and you know it, too. It will be the cartels who will have those. They've already painted vehicles to resemble legit BP vehicles. They also even painted trucks to look like FedEx trucks.

Tell all of that to trump. He is the one who claimed the illegal immigrants have "unbelievable vehicles." Call trump out on that, not me.

There you go. The immigrants can carry all the power tools and wall climbing devices they want in these "unbelievable vehicles."

Freewheeling Trump claims the wall is needed to stop migrants in 'unbelievable, stronger, bigger and faster vehicles' DRIVING across the border and outrunning ICE agents

If they cared about their furloughed constituents, then they should be coming to the table to work on a compromise. They wanted Trump to end the shutdown and then talk about border security later. Trump was smart not to trust the dems as they have proven themselves to be unworthy of trust. Reagan (whom I was no fan of) believed the promises dems made in order to get the 1986 amnesty. Once the amnesty happened, dems reneged on every promise they made. They promised that the border would be secured (it never has been secured); 2) They said that the 1986 amnesty would be the one and only amnesty to ever happen (there have been several stealth amnesties since then); and 3) They promised that no illegal would ever be able to find a job (currently we have 8 million no-match SSNs in the workforce).

It's not just Trump who isn't "budging". The dems aren't "budging" either.
Refusing to negotiate over wall funding is not the same as refusing to negotiate. Democrats have been pretty consistent in their message - they will absolutely negotiate over funding effective border security and whatever that entails, including reinforcing/erecting barriers at critical points, but believe that a 700 mile wall is fundamentally a waste of money. Frankly, this was a stupid hill for Trump to choose to die on.

Yet $5 billion will only cover 200 miles. I’m sure the 200 miles would go in the most needed areas. Border security and immigration is consistently a top 3 issue with the voters, the southern border has been a decades long problem of drugs, crime and illegal entries. This is the perfect issue to fight for.

Why are you sure of that? What plan has Trump presented that would support such an assumption?
