Why does he need to do this televised? Seems like grandstanding and a need for publicity. If he's got a deal, pass it through his people and let Congress work on it...quietly.

He is trying to change public perception. Unfortunately for him, the public isn’t as pliable as the I-1 base.

No new plan stated today Trump is still asking for 5.7 billion for the wall that nobody wants. He could gone down to 2 2.5 billion for the wall and Democrats would agreed any more $$$ and they would say hell no. Shut down will still going on in April or longer
