But, since he actually did concede to wait to deliver the address, you now get to basically portray him as weak and say things like he "bowed" to Pelosi. So, as usual, there is no right way for the president in the eyes of those who blindly oppose him. He will be painted in the worst light by them no matter what he chooses to do.

And referring to the part of your post I placed in bold, you are absolutely right. Trump cannot make her invite him to speak in the house. However, building on that, Mrs. Pelosi also cannot stop the president from delivering his address if he desires to do so. He could have simply chosen another venue from which to deliver his address. He did not do this because of Pelosi. He did this because he wants to deliver his address when the government is up and running again. Your spin is just that, spin. Rooted in nothing more than your personal disdain for the president.
Either way he would've lost, holding it in a different place wouldve been the same out come.

So if he stands his ground he's a spoiled baby and if he gives in he's a loser...got it! You guys just admitted that it doesn't matter what he does...you just hate him no matter what! Who is the loser?

She looks desperate - he says OK, your choice.

Point is - Government is partially shut down, and the President is already making plans for the extension of the partial shutdown for March/April. There is no doubt that Nancy will attempt another stunt over the Debt Ceiling. Long goal has to be to do as much damage as possible to the US Economy - that is the 2020 Election plan in the War against Trump.

You Leftists consider that a BIG WIN for Nancy -- Rah-Rah Team.
I'm doubtful that the long this goes on it will be a win - the longer this shut down continues over Border Security, the worse it gets for Nancy & Chuck who refuse to even talk to the Republicans and the President and his team. 10's of 1,000's of Illegal Aliens are headed for our Southern Border - soon we will see the rocks and fire bombs thrown at Border Patrol again. Eventually, the Border between Mexico and the USA will be shut down again as the rush the Ports of Entry.

The Optics are bad for her - Mexico and California will go nuts when that Border is shut down.
Meanwhile ..... enjoy your big WIN

Bookmark this thread .... should be interesting to bring it back.
Yeah... no. You are wrong.

Trump thought he could give it without Pelosi signing off and realized he has to follow the rules.

Just another reminder that Trump doesn’t understand how government works. This isn’t his company. He also said he owns the shutdown. The longer it goes on the worse it will get for Trump and the GOP.

Pelosi acting like a dictator.
Most democrats stand with her supporting the dictator style of government.

Yep. He put himself between a rock and a hard place when he chose to listen to Ann Coulter and shut the government down. Dumb move by Trump the self proclaimed "Great Negotiator".

Tired of all the winning yet?

Let's hope this happens before some serious incident occurs that costs lives. That would really put a nail in his, and the GOP's, coffin.

Trump could easily declare a National Emergency and order the essential workers to be paid in the interests of public saftey. If he does not use it to transfer wall funding, I don't think it would be blocked in court even in California or Hawaii.

Pelosi is doing what Democrats have been begging the party to do. Grow a backbone and stand up to the GOP. That is what she is doing. That's why the Blue Wave happened. To hold the GOP accountable for discourse and chaos that has gridlocked the WH for 2 years.

Your country is imploding right in front of you. You are part of the problem. Same thing happened in Venezuela. The result will be much the same here.
