Trump offer an extended stay for the DACAs. The dems didn't want it. They want amnesty and green cards for all illegals.

The wall that Bill Clinton (You know, Hillary's husband---the same Hillary you voted for president in 2016) had a wall built on the San Diego/Tijuana border has drastically cut down on crime and illegal crossings. The BP wants a barrier on the border, and you know better than they do, "Polly"?
Border security is important to Democrats and Republicans alike. The wall that Trump wants won't accomplish what he says it will, and it's outrageous cost makes it a non-starter. The money can be better spent by Border Patrol, and Trump will have to do without his vanity wall.

Trump wants to extend DACA, the same people he cancelled the program for, because he wanted Congress to pass better protections for them???? That's what he said when he cancelled DACA. Unfortunately for him, the courts have been extending the program, despite Trump. So why would the Democrats consider this a serious offer. Three years? That's nothing. It's time for Trump to make a serious offer, and in the meantime, he owns the shutdown.

You may find the following link interesting if you are even able to read it with an open mind:

https://cis.org/Feere/Media-Mislead-...ut-Border-Wall

Excerpts from the link:

Specifically, Pew asks: "All in all, would you favor or oppose building a wall along the entire border with Mexico?" According to Pew, 61 percent of Americans oppose building a wall along the entire border with Mexico.

then this:

A more accurate headline would be: "Americans Don't Support a Wall Across the Entire Southern Border and Still May Support Trump's 1,000-Mile Wall, but We Just Don't Know Because Pew Didn't Ask

--------------------------------------

I've never seen anyone in all these various "wall' threads say that they want a continuous wall from San Diego to Brownsville. Those of us who want a wall recognize the fact that there are areas along the border that are impossible to navigate. Thus, no wall will be needed there.

So, lets just get this straight...

It's o.k. for lefties to "evolve" but when a rightie does it, nope cannot change...hold them to their actual words...

Absolutely amazing....

True enough.

She did have the cards.

Point is trump thinks he can fool with semantics (funding now "down-payment, wall now "fence"). Just because trump can fool his base, he now feels empowered to fool the intelligent also.

Strange that someone should mention not trusting someone to keep his word.

Trump is the poster boy for that.

He can use the time he now has for not giving a SOTU to negotiate with Mexico.

Because Pelosi just ate his lunch.

Maybe he's a better deal maker in Spanish.

Again, this ^^^^ has been explained over and over again ad nauseum.

The dems have been proven to be untrustworthy. Reagan (Whom I was no fan of) learned that the hard way when the dems reneged on every promise they made to get their amnesty for illegals.
