As to the poll attached to this thread... what 'deal'? There is no deal. Trump got NOTHING.

Do tell, if minimum wage was $15, would we have been in the same situation, or no? People would not be living paycheck to paycheck at $15 an hour??
Seriously, educate yourself! You could start by reading, "Nickled and Dimed." This book is written by an author who went out and worked four different low wage jobs and wrote about how hard it was to get by day to day let alone to save money for tomorrow.

If trump can open the government with a stroke of his pen, trump is responsible for any government shutdown.

I can never figure people out. Trump has already stated that if there is no bill for border security with wall funding, he will build it under emergency powers. This is a chance for democrats to get DACA. It will be fun to see if they negotiate to get it, or if TDS has completely destroyed their minds.

FYI, trump was offered 25 billion for his wall in exchange for DACA and trump turned it down.

Quote:
Schumer was willing to accept funding for a border wall in exchange for DACA protections for Dreamers.

After Trump negotiated the terms, the White House balked: Chief of Staff John Kelly called Schumer soon after to explain the plan wasn’t far enough to the right for Republicans. Trump himself declared that he’d need far more in any deal, including significant cuts to legal immigration.

I’m reminded of something Slate’s Jim Newell wrote back in Matrch:

[All Trump] had to do was accept a 10- to 14-year path to citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants brought to the United States at a young age.

That deal has been on the table for more than a month now: Trump gives Democrats a path to citizenship for 1.8 million Dreamers; Democrats give Trump his full $25 billion wall funding request. […]

It is confounding that Trump didn’t just take the deal.

I have educated myself....it's called not keeping a low wage job. But why should anyone better themselves in life?
