The agencies are preparing for round # 2 and in Orlando a TSA person commited suicide for financial problems. Still some have not been paid all that is owed on payroll or other expenses where you are paid back later. Not sure what happens feb 15th but enough already - these are US taxpaying working citizens. Just stop!

Slow down ... you're rushing things a bit.

For Trump to access some of the defense funds under the National Emergencies Act, the infrastructure needs to be for the protection of US troops ... who then need to be there, to protect.

Maybe the new Trump vision are troops cowering behind walls from invading Mexicans ... but then actually those in the caravans are, in large part, women and children.

Pesky details like that never stopped a Trump.

Build the wall.

Well, after there was some positivity over the last few days from both republicans and democrats, looks like talks have stalled and there is no immediate path forward in sight.

If Master Negotiator Donald can't negotiate a deal within the next 5 days, we will have our second Trump Shutdown.

Bring it. In fact, I hope this is what happens. I can't wait to see what the GOP does if this looks like a second shutdown could become a reality. They may be forced to act like real Americans for once and block the maniac in the White House. Really, will they have any other choice?

A second shutdown is the GOP's worst nightmare. It's going to be fun to watch this unfold.

Actually, because of the 72-hour rule, I thought if they didn't have a proposal by Monday, there was no way for the House to be able to bring it up for a vote, pass it, have the senate vote on it, pass it and the President sign it by the Friday deadline. Looks like he will either just declare the national emergency or they "kick the can" further down the street and extend the budget funding for another few weeks.

I'm not so sure that Trump would own the next shutdown as much as the first. It looks like he has indicated he would sign a bill for whatever border security $ he could get and then look elsewhere for more. If Congress can't get it together and present him with a bill, they they pretty much own the next one.
