Most of the disproportionately represented states are red.

Yea, right. Somehow my state of California is sovereign, but my President is Donald Trump.

What's going to happen when a Democrat loses when they've won by 6 million votes? How about 10? How far will it go before you have basically illegitimate Presidents solely because of the electoral college? I know far right wingers love the idea of civil unrest because they can't wait to shoot some people with their arsenals.
I agree, for you electoral college backers, go ahead and keep it. But then the more populous states should also get more Senators. Deal?

I still like the electoral college. I also agree that there is little chance of the Constitution being amended to discard it.

For those wondering what Donald John Trump thinks of this issue:

Of course, his opinions have never been set in stone. Depends on the outcome of an election.

One man, one vote allows every voting American to have a say, unlike the antiquated EC which in 48 of 50 states, even if the difference in popular vote is one vote, awards ALL the state's electoral votes to the candidate holding that one vote edge.

Considering how many asinine wars of choice we've been involved in claiming we were fighting to spread democracy, it's quite amazing how many Americans are opposed to democracy.

Why does your set hate the Constitution so much? Does it keep you from Utopia?

more senators? you mean you dont own enough of congress now? once again you need to READ the constitution and understand WHY the founders wrote it the way they did. if you were to do that with an open mind, then you would see the subtle brilliance of the document.

You would need 38 states to ratify such a deal.
