And yes, the EC gives enormously disproportionate power to the least populated states (4 to 1 in the most extreme cases). It is what it is, but don't pretend it's equal.

Do you want MOB RULE? We are NOT a Democracy, we are a Constitutional Representative Republic. Why should power be based solely in Population Centers? We are a collection of individual STATES, not the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Twice in recent history, the EC caused us to elect a president who received fewer votes than another candidate. To me, that is reason enough to eliminate it.

Lol... Did you even read what I wrote?

For one, I'm advocating for the reformation of, not destruction of, the EC. Killing "winner take all" in a fire is a great place to start (votes awarded proprtionally or by Congressional districts - either would work for me).

Secondly, merely recognizing the fact that the EC creates a system of disproportionate power doesn't mean I want "mob rule". I'm just calling it what it is. Don't pretend it's "equal" (as you did earlier).

You can't go by counties, in Nevada for example, the two counties that voted for Clinton (Washoe and Clark) have 92% of Nevada's population, so it's really 23/25 blue, not 2/17
