You don't believe your own leader? "If we don't get what we want, I will shut the government down. I will gladly own the shutdown, and happy to call it the Trump Shutdown!"

The Democrats are not doing anything the Republicans haven't done for the past two years: not fund the stupid, inefficient, boondoggle of a wall.

Trump's campaign promise was for Mexico to build us a wall. Is the check in the mail?

Trump was legally elected while campaigning for a wall. It may suit you if he changes his mind, but that's not going to happen.

Your first paragraph where you discuss gerrymandering of Senate seats is a little off kilter. Senators represent entire states.
Your declaration that you belong to a majority and therefore may call the shots is whimsical if not fantasy. Trump is President and he will make the decisions as the law allows - or even requires - him to.
The people of the various states will elect whom they please. I would guess The Senate will go Democrat, but not enough to actually force decisions on Trump. For that matter, I doubt if Trump can be re-elected but I was wrong about that in 2016, so maybe he can.
Trump won't be around post-2020.

President Trump warned about this when he signed the omnibus spending bill last year. That was his compromise and he made it clear it would not happen again without getting what he wants for border security, and what they people who voted for him want. This isn't him "throwing a temper tantrum", it's serious business that the majority of the country clearly wants. The people obstructing are only doing so because they don't want him to be successful or win reelection, not because border security is a bad idea because they are all on record as being for it!

If THAT'S not the definition of "throwing a temper tantrum" I don't know what is.

The majority of the country does not want the wall. We are trillions in debt and don’t have the money to fund the wall. IF it ever moved forward we wouldn’t see it in our lifetime. It would take decades to claim eminent domain on land boardering Mexico.

It’s absolutely a temper tantrum when the Republican Party didn’t move this through. Days before Democrats having some power, he shuts down the government to get what he wants. Trump 100% timed this to make it look ad if it was someone else’s fault.

The Dems want border security and a 100 to zero senate passed bill was sent to Trump to sign and he changed him mind when the far right media chastised him. Trump wants a wall, every few minutes he changes his minds on wall, slats etc, but he says he wants a wall now.

Revisionist at best - he was on board to sign a deal that included $1B+ for a fence/wall that everyone knew would pass Congress. It was done. Then his true cabinet members (Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh) told him that he needed to stand firm on some phantom made up number that doesn't even dent true costs for "the wall" and he soon after told everyone he would be happy to own the shutdown.

Everything that has happened since has been political ploys from BOTH sides... yes, they are all playing politics, surprise surprise surprise.

As of just recently, his media director Hannity told him to hold out on the shutdown until the SOTU. Anyone wanna bet that is his latest opinion on this?

During the current shutdown, approximately 83% of the Federal Government continues unaffected.

So what you are saying is it only affects 17% of our $3.8 billion budget so it's no big deal.
