Here we go again. The recession began in December 2007 - almost a year before Obama was even elected. The recession ended in June 2009, just 5 months after Obama took office. Thus, it factually got BETTER under Obama.

Thankfully we don't face this under Trump.
LOL! When the recession arrives before the 2020 election you're going to look pretty foolish saying that.

Remember JOBS affect elections more than any other thing.
Yes, and when JOBS start decreasing before the 2020 election, you're going to learn once again that is true.

Come on - if anything goes wrong (the wall, the troop withdrawal, the immigration caravan, the indictments of Trump's inner circle - it's NEVER Trump's fault. LIKE president Trump, I have yet to meet a Trump support who can admits to Trump doing anything wrong.

There is a total lack of critical thinking amongst Trump supporters (otherwise they would know he lies more than any president in memory even Nixon).

And, once again, here are the facts to back up that claim:

It’s official: Recession began in December 2007
Quote:
The U.S. economy has been in a recession since December 2007, the National Bureau of Economic Research said today.

The NBER — a private, nonprofit research organization — said its group of academic economists who determine business cycles met and decided that the U.S. recession began last December.
Once again, that's almost a year before Obama was elected.

Report: Recession Over In June 2009
Quote:
The National Bureau of Economic Research, a panel of academic economists based in Cambridge, Mass., said the recession lasted 18 months. It started in December 2007 and ended in June 2009. Previously the longest postwar downturns were those in 1973-1975 and in 1981-1982. Both of those lasted 16 months.

And the employment rate isn't accurately representing those numbers who've just given up looking for jobs or who've left the workforce permanently for reasons other than retirement.

If one were to be as partisan as some on here; one could even say the much ballyhooed unemployment rate is "fake news" as it doesn't depict an accurate picture of labour force participation.

Using the accepted metrics; if everyone stopped working or looking for work the unemployment rate would be ZERO. Kinda dumb to use such a stat if it's garnered from smoke and mirrors.

And He's Delivering. His policies are working, his pullout of Obama's horrible trade deals are working. Trump has created far far more jobs than Obama, and this is in just 2 years.

And he will be easily re-elected on this issue in 2020. Democrats? They can only bleat about impeachment, investigations, and 70% tax rates.

No comparison. Not even close. They hate to admit, make excuses. The boy could only dream. The man got it done.

The OP's article is comparing the first 2 years of both Obama's and Trump's administration.

President Obama inherited an economy that was losing 700, 000 jobs a month....I repeat.....700,000 jobs a month.

President Trump inherited a booming economy.

There is no comparison.

Trump will either be in jail or financially ruined in 2020, if not both.

If a job doesn't provide health insurance and pay a living wage that will support a family with a bit of discretionary income left over for extras, it's called wage slavery. The French took care of that problem in the 18th century in a way that discouraged recidivism among the 1%. It could happen here, in some form.

Trump inherited a "Goldilocks" economy from President Obama who had to deal with the GOP economic fiasco left to him in 2009.
