There are still those who support the Confederacy, for crying out loud.
Probably some of the same people.

Its amazing how easily duped the democrats are by their Leadership. They claim technology will solve the problem. Not one of them speaks out against catch and release.
So what do we have ? Tech. = surveillance and detection which doesn't stop illegal entry. It only alerts to illegals crossing into the country. The border patrol responds and catch and release is the result. So its open borders as a result.
The intelligent people know what the results are of the democrats position and its open borders. Those that are so willingly and easily duped can't follow a simple process to its conclusion. They have been duped and want to pass it along to dupe others by claiming they aren't for open borders. Fortunately there are enough people not so easily fooled outside the collective of the spoon feeding democrat leadership.

Hillary said her dream was a hemisphere of open trade and open borders. When confronted in a debate she didn't deny it.

Newsweek really knows how to light up the Orange Man Bad NPCs.

They just make up some nonsense, post it on their blog, and NPCs are off to the races.

Even Trump knows this.

He is spinning out of control, sending frantic and erratic tweets, making odd public appearances where he claims to have conversations that everyone knows he didn't have with past Presidents and furloughed federal employees claiming they support the shutdown.

He held a bizarre cabinet meeting that, once again, consisted of cabinet members praising him.

Trump "hurled" the "f" word repeatedly at Pelosi during their meeting on Friday.

Who does that?

A guy who is playing a losing hand.

I wonder about that.

First of all, does Mueller have the authority to strike a deal with Trump?

As long as he's President, seems like only Congress has that power.

If.....IF Mueller, SNDY, State New York, all the new House Committee investigations, and various lawsuits get too close to Trump....I hope he resigns.

The million dollar question will be, how will Trump's ego respond to possibly facing impeachment? Will he fight tooth and nail to the end, even if there's overwhelming evidence that he's guilty of crimes? Would his ego allow him to be dragged through a formal impeachment proceeding?

Or will he quit in protest and just whine and moan about being a victim and the witch hunt?

Either way, I feel like its 50/50 odds of Trump being POTUS come 1/20/2021.

Trump's situation is quite a bit different than Nixon's. In the first place, there are state as well as federal investigations going on.

Second, it's not only obstruction of justice, though the evidence of that is obvious enough.

Third, his ace in the hole is that 20 Republican Senators are unlikely to vote for impeachment. Knowing that, he may hold out hoping that he can skate through.

Fourth, he's really not much of a negotiator as evidenced by the shutdown, the China trade war, NAFTA, etc.
I don't know about those 20 Republican Senators...with the information we have now...correct...the Republican Senate will not vote to impeach. None of us including both houses of congress knows what Mueller has. It's only speculation...but within the realm of possibility is Mueller having evidence...beyond a reasonable doubt...that can be proven in any court of law....that Trump and the Trump Team acted in conspiracy with a Russian Military Intelligence Operation targeting a Federal election of 2016...then all bets are off. If the Republican Senate chose to keep him president they and the GOP wold be committing political suicide.

Also, many of these Conservative Senators are National Security Hawks with a great distrust of Putin. They will not go along with this...they just won't. In this event some of the strongest cases for impeachment and resignation will come from the conservative media such as the Wall Street Editorial board which is why their recent extreme criticism of Trump spouting Russia revisionist history is something to pay attention to. Time will tell.

He can only resign if he gets a complete pardon and no one has the power to do that.

It's a mess, no doubt about it.

The Russian revisionist history is an eye-opener, for sure.

Ford was offered the VP slot with the understanding that when he became POTUS, he would pardon Nixon.

He did that and his presidency ended right there. He was just a placeholder from then on out.

Got to wonder if Pence would do the same.
