(I can't vote on this poll, because my answer is just not there. I don't believe in taking the Government and country hostage in order to pass any legislation.)
They should do their job and get the work done without having to shut down the government and causing so
much undo hardship upon so many Americans.
Which issues are worth a government shutdown over?
I don't think any issue is worth shutting down the government. It has happened quite a few times in recent years but we should not think of it as normal. We should not normalize this as a political tactic.
First the hyperbole by the press secretary has already been addressed by President Cheeto's Kelly Ann Conway as not accurate portrayal as to what the 2500 number represents.
Second, the four (4) former presidents have ALL denied that they every espoused to Cheeto the regret of not building the wall.
Third, when the seize Cheeto's assets due to Tax Fraud let that go to Security NO WALL
That's where our opinions differ. I think about 90% of the government should be shutdown permanently. So a government shutdown over the wall is win-win.
Not sure how you arrive at that opinion, but you're entitled to it. I personally like to have safe air travel, clean food and water, safe food to eat, the elderly, disabled and children being provided for who can't provide for themselves, public education. It's great that you are so self-sufficient. But fortunately the rest of us recognize the benefits of government. Not saying there isn't waste and excess, and that things couldn't be run more efficiently, but there are some good things the government does.
Sorry (not sorry) that the government won't be shut down permanently for you.
