It will be interesting to see how he’ll keep all his promises. Brown was a fiscal conservative which is how the state ended up with a surplus, which the assembly would love to squander if given the chance.
No he wasn't, he taxed the **** out of the state. Newsom will do the same.

I think it will be interesting to see how Newsom does with California. It will be a real test to see how even bolder progressive policies work on a state with systemic problems largely attributed to progressive policies.
I honestly hope it all works, but I have my doubts. We shall see. Pressure's on.

ummm.... Jerry Brown kind of was a conservative. The kind of centrist we used to have a lot of in this country.
He was a flopper. When many gun bills came up he, logically, didn't sign them and explained why they wouldn't work. Then 2 years later he signed them all along party lines.
