Odd how Republican Omaha is so much safer than Democratic-run cities of similar size like Oakland, Detroit, Baltimore and St. Louis.
Seems like very conservative, Nebraska conservative middle-American strong Republican values offer protection against the toxic moral decline that is infecting many Democratic cities like an aggressive cancer.
They had 106 homicide free days at the of December and haven't had one yet, so they are at 115 days now.
To bad anti-Trump mayors like Oakland's Libby Schaff who likes to tip of illegal aliens about ICE raids doesn't have nearly as much success on lowering crime rates like Republican-run Omaha
Why do you make these utterly ridiculous comparisons? Omaha is a city of a half million people surrounded by cows. Oakland is part of a CSA of nearly 9 million people.
Maybe you should spend less time here starting ludicrous threads and more time using the DATA part of CD.

and yet many people (perhaps yourself) compare the US to places like Norway or Sweden when it come to discussions like this...... I have lived in both the Metro areas mentioned and other then total population they do have things that can compare.....
What were you trying to prove? Omaha has less than 1M residents in it's metro area. Every other city you listed has a metro of at least 3.8M or higher.
Hmmm, Tulsa Oklahoma is about the same size as Omaha. It ranks 3rd most conservative city in America based on highest number of Republican voters. It also has a murder rate more than 3 times the national average.
We need to find a Republican to govern Maryland and end the bloodbath in Baltimore.
Oh, wait the Governor of Maryland IS Republican.
Never mind.....Gotta try something else next election cycle.
Baltimore is among the most Democrat cities in the nation and liberal Democrats control the Maryland state legislature. There's no more death penalty in MD and the police are afraid to do their jobs because of the Black Lies riots that followed the criminal Freddie Gray's death.
Here in Louisiana we are a Republican state overall but the poorest and most crime ridden areas are all dominated by Democrats including New Orleans and Shreveport. Baton Rouge also has many Democrats concentrated in the city's poorest and most crime ridden neighborhoods including where the criminal Alton Sterling got himself killed and where people almost rioted.
Likewise Tennessee is mostly Republican but Memphis, the most dangerous city is run by Democrats. Same with Gary in Indiana, Atlanta in Georgia, the inner cities in Ohio like Cleveland, etc etc.

Well, you know, those cows can be pretty rowdy at times !
You have to really love the logic of Trumpees, don't you ?

The fact remains that the Governor is Republican. The buck stops at his desk. It is time Republicans assume even some of the responsibility as opposed to always trying to blame everything on lower level officials.
