However, I think even if R. Kelly "enslaved" 17 or 18 year olds (I'm thinking it depends on states and parental permission, etc...but admit to not know all the laws).....he would still be just as much of a creep.
I'm sure the groupies weren't all of age either. Many were 15 and 16.

Nothing will be done to the guy. A very light sentence. Hell, everyone has known this guys story for 20 years. And he still walks free. There is no right and wrong today. Nor is there any accountability placed on people anymore. . This country has gone to hell. Its basically following Rome's downfall. . Hell you can't even trust our own churches
Nah, the timing of this means it can't slide like it did before. It's been in the news in Chicago every night since the documentary aired, the cops have raided his place, there are protests going on and the people who remained silent are starting to make some noise.
I think the black community is now speaking out because Tarana Burke, the woman who started the me too movement years ago appeared in the documentary, and because the other women who appeared in the doc, including his ex-wife, helped put faces to the story.
He seemed untouchable with their support, but he's lost that now, so I think it's game over.
That's what I was thinking. Are we learning where there is smoke there is most definitely fire?

The girl in the video has been living with him this entire time, since she was 14. Her brother is the guitar player for chance the rapper and the family still hangs out with R Kelly. I saw pictures and social media links on another site.
