Syracuse University is not a biased source. And it matters because one party (Democrat) is overwhelmingly exposed to be society's takers rather than contributors.

Post any reputable source that disputes it.

A more recent Pew Research examination focusing on Food Stamp recipients... Pew Research's data closely matches Syracuse University's data.

How Many Americans Have Ever Received Food Stamps?

Republicans: 10%
Democrats: 22%
Independents: 17%

The Politics and Demographics of Food Stamps

That's a pretty stark difference.

Per the highlighted, how exactly does one make a politician live under the same law they create for others?

I'd love to hear details about how to tell the holder of the monopoly on force and violence to apply that force to themselves, when we have exactly no power of force or violence with which to issue commands? You talking about armed revolution or something?

By demanding it. James Traficant went to prison did he not? We are so scared to hold "our" politician accountable for anything in case the "other guys" politician wins. As I noted, the politicians have done a great job making us their pawns.

We have all the power on election day.

Buried in the article that you cite is this statement. Workers are evenly divided. So your posit that Democrats are overwhelming takers is wrong.

Again, Democrats are more open minded when it comes to the plight of people on public assistance, so it’s not unreasonable that people on public assistance vote Democratic.

Being "a worker" does not exclude one from being a taker. It only means that such person's contribution to society value, as judged by society itself, is severely lacking.

You post your own bias. Not society’s. But that’s a topic for a different thread.

There is no bias. Each person's contribution to society value, as judged by society itself in relation to how much they contribute compared to how much they take, is relevant.

OMG, you're so gullible.

Ever notice how election after election, year after year...not much changes? For every one sacrifice made on the altar of political optics, another thousand corruptocrats and sleazicans literally get away with theft, rape and murder. The examples are too numerous to name, from both parties, at every level of government we have.

And you mention Traficant, but that only proves MY point. He gets brought up on RICO charges in 1983, represents himself, and skates. Not only that, but his popularity grew specifically because he was indicted and skated. That RICO case essentially gifted him his seat in the House 2 years later. And how long did Traficant go between the two bribery/racketeering cases? Try 17 years. And why did he finally get put on the altar of politica optics? Because he had annoyed his own Democrat party to the last straw and they wanted rid of him, which they signaled in 2001 after he voted for Dennis Hastert for Speaker, and was subsequently dumped from any committee assignments. And who replaced him for the fine folks of Ohio 17? His longtime aid and buddy, Tim Ryan.

NOTHING CHANGED. Seriously, dude got 15% of the vote as an independent...while in prison. Marion Berry ring any bells? He got reelected AFTER serving time for crack/hookers. Clinton gets indicted for perjury and obstruction and the day that indictment happens officially, his approval went up 17 points.

You have no power on election day. All you do is cast one vote for how the deck chairs on the Titanic should be arranged.
