Donald Trump (the deal maker) refused the $25 billion dollar border wall funding deal, instead Trump waited for the $5 billion dollar border wall deal he is currently seeking.
Trump offered the Demwits amnesty for DACA recipients whom the Demwits had been wailing and handwringing over but they refused. He wants Congress to work on comprehensive immigration reform after he gets his wall money, which Dems are refusing. Negotiations involve more than one person. Some people have never negotiated their own salary or house price or car price. It isn't take it or leave it.
