I'd say there is a principle here. Trump shouldn't be allowed to think he can shut down the government for any reason he pleases. No need to even discuss border security until he ends the shut down. Personally, I see no need to panic. We can leave things this way for at least several months. A bonus for me is the polls say most people blame him for the shut down.
The Democrats are tired of fixing the crap the Republicans create! The last time the democrats went on board with the republicans stupid ideas, they were blamed for years after! i.e. voting for the Iraq war. Ring a bell?

Indirectly, it is easy to make up the money from Mexico and dump it back into our economy(Not our government)
