Getting turned down by insurance companies due to pre-existing conditions is not quality healthcare either.

That's too bad. There are options for educating kids. But we all need healthcare. It is one thing that is truly universal. Taxes for public education eat up a lot of money and I'd rather see that money go to a good health care system accessible to all. This is an issue for older lower income people who get no tax breaks and individual health insurance premiums are very high, at the age when they really start to need health care.

If nobody had to give you anything for it, we wouldn't need a military with people willing to put their lives on the line to protect your rights.

And with healthcare, it should be accessible to all members of society. Call it what you want.

My daughter goes to private school that I pay for. I should have the right to not pay property taxes.

But you don’t have the right for me to pay for it. You take care of yourself.

Forcing healthcare on others, when it isn't a right, is immoral and repulsive.
Hey, I donate my time and airplane to fly critically ill children to see specialists.

But then I write the entire thing off on my taxes. The fuel and maintenance is factored in. Do that several times a year and my tax rate is zero. Combined with my tax credits and you owe me.

So, since I never had kids at all, that means I shouldn't have had to pay property taxes either? It should work both ways or not at all. Personally, I'm willing to pay property taxes to fund public schools so that other peoples' kids will grow up with at least a certain amount of basic knowledge. Property taxes also fund other things like fire, rescue squad, and police services, to the best of my recollection.
