Denmark is definitely NOT a socialist country. That is according to the Danish PM.

This was from a talk at Harvard in late 2015. I think Mr. Rasmussen had grown tired of hearing Bernie refer to Denmark as socialist. Denmark. Denmark is usually labeled as a 'social democracy,' meaning it is a market economy, with private ownership of the means of production, but high taxes and extensive welfare programs.

Denmark is a Social Democracy!

Private ownership of the means of production and a strong social safety net paid for by taxes.
As are the rest of Scandinavia.. and northern Europe and all former parts of GB empire.

The US was becoming one in the 50-60s... but


I agree Sanders used the wrong words, however trying to to differentiate between, Socialist, Democratic Socialist, Social Democrat, Communist, Leninist, Marxists, often seem to much for the Average American. In particular right wingers are pretty daft..
