OK, how many? Your quoted article states some "unauthorized immigrants" pay taxes (fake SS# and illegal ITIN).
Now do they complete their census forms? Which is what I stated.

Other questions have become intrusive and should not be asked. They are none of the government's business. When my wife worked for the census bureau, many people refused to answer the questions. Some refused to be interviewed at all.
I may have been one of them. I mailed in my 4000 page census questionnaire (ok a little exaggeration ) with only the head count answered and later received two separate visits from census workers.

No surprise. Obama appointee, whose brother was on Mr Obama's Council of Economic Advisor. Pretty easy for either party to shop federal judiciary these days. The only surprise is that it was not a 9th District judge.

Just the first step. Might be reversed in time to make onto the census form for 2020.

The census determines representation (as in-in the House of Representatives). The only relevant questions are who is at the residence. They ask a number of questions about race and marital status-that are none of the government's business. If you get the "long form" they ask a bunch of personal questions about employment and income-NONE of which matter. I have refused to answer any of those in the past.

That's a problem. Why should illegals get representation in Congress?

Because the Constitution requires it?

Show me where it says congress represents illegal aliens. Congress represents citizens and legal residents.

I agree with you. Unfortunately-allowing criminals representation in congress is the current interpretation of the law. Now, if we can get some adults in control of the House again maybe we can correct that mistake.

Now-what I DON'T know how electoral college "representation" is assigned. Since it is illegal for criminal aliens to vote in a federal election, their numbers as determined by the census do not matter there. Ultimately, we all realize that this whole effort is to make it impossible to stop criminal aliens from voting illegally.

The only thing the government has gotten from me on any census is a number of persons living in my home.

While there is no exact measurement studies have suggested approximately half file returns. Below is one article. You can google for others if you care.
