Of course the Trumplings would want Barr to release as little of the report as possible, because they're afraid it might contain things they don't want to know.

Probably a more pertinent question than that would be: Why should anyone care whether you trust him or not? Who are you that anyone connected with Barr's confirmation should care what you think?

Always interesting to me how you all will bring up something about Obama when the conversation is not about him.

I don't remember their confirmation hearings. However, I'm sure that Congress persons questioned them thoroughly as well to try to weed out negativity and characteristics that they felt may be un-American.

If Barr tries to rewrite Mueller's report and release a watered down version of it, Adam Schiff, as head of the House Intel Committee, will simply subpoena Barr to testify publicly before Congress and force him to reveal what he knows.

Barr would do well to play it straight. If he is caught attempting to conceal criminal activity, he will be an accessory.

Force him? What is little Adam going to do, jump over the table and bulldog Barr down to the floor?

Adam Schiff. What a joke.

Barr is required by law to testify before Congress twice a year. He will do that and little Adam Schiff will act out for the cameras, just like always. And William Barr will have no more concern for him than for a fly buzzing his lunch plate.

I wouldn’t trust Barr to tell the truth to anyone—
He lied yesterday at his hearing
HE as the AG has the power to reveal what he wants from Mueller’s report
Especially to leaders in Congress re any items that are impeachment worthy
The fact that he acts like he is hampered by rules and yet won’t be hampered by the rules regarding being recused on the advice of the DoJ legal wizards—
That he would consider their advice and do what HE THOUGHT was the best option—
Proves he has no intention of doing anything he doesn’t want —
And that likely means what Trump wants...

He has sucked up really hard to get this nomination
And he will lie to get the job itself
The fact that Graham and others were hitting on the FBI as assassins of Trump was a sad day for America

There was not doubt that parts of the Mueller report would be redacted because this is a counter intelligence investigation but the reaction of Trump supporters is entertaining. These were the same people that wanted full disclosure on the FISA Warrant for Page but now they are celebrating the fact that the report will be screened. I thought people wanted the truth and transparency.

I don't really care as long as the White House doesn't do the review and its done fairly.

According to the confidential Special Counsel report is submitted to the AG. It is then the responsibility of the Attorney General under the procedures for the DOJ's Office of Special Counsel - adopted during the Clinton administration - to summarize the findings of the Special Counsel and provide a report of that to the Congress and to the public.

The house committee can certainly interview the head of the DOJ or anyone else on this issue, it doesn't need to be in public. I think we learned that in the last 10 years certainly in the last 2, Comey just testified before the house last month.
