The fragile legacy of Barack Obama
t becomes clearer every day that Barack Obama, a historic president, presided over a somewhat less than historic presidency. With only one major legislative achievement (Obamacare)—and a fragile one at that—the legacy of Obama’s presidency mainly rests on its tremendous symbolic importance and the fate of a patchwork of executive actions.

Democrats are coming to realize for 2020 - Obama Was A Bad President

More Democratic state legislative seats were lost under Obama than under any president in modern history.

The politics were pretty disastrous. As Zelizer summarizes, “During his presidency, even as he enjoyed reelection and strong approval ratings toward the end of this term, the Democratic Party suffered greatly. . . . Democrats lost more than one thousand seats in state legislatures, governors’ mansions, and Congress during his time in office.” Zelizer could have gone further.

You quoted Zerohedge. Own it. As for Obama, you voted for him, not me, so I do not feel compelled to defend him (whatever the zerohedge claim happens to be this time).

Democrats Turn On Obama's "Establishment" Legacy As 2020 Approaches

Wow!
In short, Obama spent eight years "deferring a radical disruption" that the country was absolutely waiting for. And then Trump - an actual radical, came along and took the Oval Office away from the establishment.
What kind of fiction is this? Obama wasn't Kennedy or FDR, but he wasn't Hoover, Buchanan or Harding either. His presidency was objectively middle to upper middle

Posts like this re scary. A lot of Trumps followers are scary. Blind love for Trump is sad, as these followers find no fault in Trump. That in itself reflects how bad the population of this country is.

That is the problem right there!

The left keep deferring blame to another while at the same time claiming Obama isn't the president.

Example: Anything good happening, the economy, for example, = credit Obama. Yet for eight years they continually blamed GWB for all that was bad during Obama's 8 years, from day one to the last day.

The left play word games, play both sides, are hypocrites of the highest order.

Dazed and confused. You have no consistent message. The ONLY thing you have is tribal hate for anyone who disagrees with you. THAT would be all 100M conservatives.

It is truly absurd if contemplated from a moderately rational perspective.

I'm still waiting for an honest liberal to hand out an equal weight of constructive criticism toward their own party, but they never do.

Do they have a point when it comes to the Pubs? OF COURSE! Many of the moderate conservatives and Libertarians (especially) are very upset with the Republicans.

THAT is what appears to be the difference between liberal progressive ideologues and Constitutional conservatives.

Funny, that's what a lot of people said about Obama supporters.

LAWL

The point is this...

If Obama could have run again in 2016, he would have sent Trump back to whatever cheesy reality show he came from.

If Obama could run again in 2020 he would beat Trump like a orange headed stepchild.

Compared to Trump, Obama is head and shoulders a better President and a better man.

Only 37% would disagree.

That is all. Carry on.

again, try to stay informed on the topic at hand, it makes it easier to actually have a conversation. The article in question states progressives criticize Obama for not being liberal enough, yet a litany of Trumpsters come on here as justification of some sort that Obama= Bad, so again I ask, would you have preferred he nationalize banks, install Medicare for all, outlaw fossil fuels, etc? you can't have it both ways. You also can't credibly participate in the conversation if you don't know/understand the topic at hand.....
