Obama was the voice for BLM and the media was all over both of them. When a white or brown cop shot and killed a black man it was automatically racist but now I think we are questioning the motives of each shooting.
Today it does seem that the Democrats have dropped the black cause in favor of helping illegal aliens get into the country and right on que the media is following along, showing us the suffering women and children while ignoring the drug dealing gang members.
I feel badly for the Black community and how the Dems have dropped them to help illegal aliens and if the Dems should get their wish of amnesty for millions and Rights granted to them the Black community will be buried forever. It is sad how the Dems use people for votes.
Wonder what "cause" is on the BLM folks's minds now? You don't seem to hear about that movement anymore. Why did they lose so much traction? Why have the media stopped pushing their agenda?
They were so non-strategic and unorganized. They were more of an annoyance to people than anything else. When you block streets, stores, etc from the general public, you are going to lose the support of the general public. Every time they organized protests in major cities, they resulted in riots and destruction of those communities they were supposed to be fighting for (even if BLM wasn't actually doing the rioting).
If they had smart leadership and did the protesting at police stations or at the capital with an end-game of being able to talk with police/lawmakers to address the situation, they would have been more successful and probably had a lot more support. They just weren't very intelligent or strategic about what they were doing. Did their leadership really think they were going to garner support by blocking highways and the general public from going into stores???
They always do this. They go away until they are sorta forgotten and then the same protesters pop up as something new in time for the election. Remember Occupy? We will probably see the new brand name this summer.
Honestly their complaints to me were about a problem with .0005% of all the violence perpetrated against blacks. This small of a concern in the overall systemic wrongdoings is what helped the BLM movement be a non-started in my opinion. Rapping about dealing drugs and murdering your rivals while high on Percocets and Codiene is a much larger issue.
Truth be told, I do miss hearing/reading about BLM and their race-baiting stories. That is, in terms of the frequency as they were a few years ago. Sure, it depends on which news source you look at and the event that triggers their latest campaigns.
We no longer have a person in the White House trying to divide us by race. To create animosity between the races. To use racial differences for his own path to power. Perhaps since we no longer have a leader playing racist games, these racist hate groups will die down and go back into hiding. BLM and the KKK can just disappear into the gutter, where they belong.

Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but the fact that you'd even create a thread like this....
I assume the lives of black people never really mattered to you.
