I'm a conservative. Unfortunately, based on the information presented, I may have to support dropping the gun charge. Should he have been in this country? No. But unless there's evidence that he knew it was a gun and still picked it up, I won't support penalizing someone for just picking a random object up. It sucks, but if I support due process and reasonable law, then I have to support it for everyone.
