Bill Clinton was running for a second term, Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole was the Republican nominee, and Ross Perot ran again.

I thought about voting for Dole, but...

Frankly, I always thought the wrong Clinton and the wrong Dole ran in that election. Had circumstances been different, we would already have had a woman president, and she most likely would have been Elizabeth Dole.

I voted for Bill twice, and hate to say that I would hold my nose and probably do it again. Bill was a complete moderate compared to the Dems today. He wasn't freeing Terrorists or destroying whole countries as Obama and Bush2 did.

Made the mistake of voting for Slick Willie in 1992, voted for Dole in 1996. I was 27 and 31 at the time of those two elections. If time machines existed I would go back and vote for Ross Perot both times. With age comes wisdom, for most people at least.

How did/would you have voted in the 1996 Presidential Election?
Clinton. Things were good in US during that time. Jobs, dot.com boom, budget surplus. This was before "W" handed over IT industry to the Indians and got US involved in large scale wars and an economic disaster. Everything changed during "W" presidency.

Ross Perot.

Back then I still believed that my participation in the theater of the absurd mattered, and he was the least detestable of the three.
