Ok, where did this come from? After separating families, gasing mothers with children and sending refugees to concentration camps we get this? Did I miss this on nightly news tonight somehow?
"50 percent of Latinos support the job Trump is doing, a significant jump from the 31 percent who had the same answer in a December poll."
President Donald Trump is losing support among voters, including members of his base, as the 2020 presidential election cycle approaches. A new poll from PBS NewsHour, NPR, and Marist found that 57% of registered voters said they would vote against the president in the next election, PBS reported.
The poll was conducted between Jan. 10 and Jan. 13, and surveyed 1,023 U.S. adults with a 3.8% margin of error, including 873 registered voters, with a 4.2% margin of error.

IN reality: Republicans are a better deal for Latin migrants. However, sometimes, within three generations or so they copy the victimhood mindset and become Democrats,

I don't understand why Rs shoot themselves in the foot on this issue.
1) It's a fact that we need immigrants. We are not replacing ourselves, we need to import more people, especially young people.
2) It's a fact that membership in the R party is declining. The largest group of voters don't associate themselves with any party, the next largest group register as Ds, and Rs bring up the rear.
2) Latino immigrants are usually religious with a serious work ethic, and are often socially conservative. If they felt welcomed by the Rs, more of them would register as Rs. But - it's Ds that welcome them, and it's Ds that advocate for a better safety net, so there you go.

Please tell me when I should listed to polls and when I should not. Trumpsters constantly say do not listen to polls but then post polls results when they favor their position.
Seriously. Is there some secret decoder ring on when polls are valid? If so please share.
OP's source, NewsMax is a conservative leaning site which (unsurprisingly) is fond of cherry picking. That Marist Poll which this bit of polling data comes from is something like 36 pages of teensy print with the results of a different question on each one. The sample size was around 1,000 (seems small to me) and the questions were asked in English. Despite these possible flaws in the design of the survey, only the one mentioned above of all the 36 questions was answered as pro-Trump by Latino respondents.
When the question was asked "Would you vote for Trump in 2020?" (page 19) only 27% of Latinos answered in the affirmative while 58% answered that they would definitely vote AGAINST Trump.
The results from other groups surveyed were even more dismal. Read the explanation from NPR which is far more easy to comprehend and far more damning to Trump.
I suspect that the 50% quoted in the OP is some sort of statistical artifact.

I don't believe this. Most Hispanics in our country have roots from south of our border and they are from an ethnocentric culture with a tribal mentality. They don't want the wall to stop their illegal amigos from getting into our country.
