I think there may be more to this shutdown than meets the eye! I think the shut down is pre negotiated (and yes Nancy and Chuck are playing a major part) because after 30 days, Trump can initiate an RIF which stands for Reduction in Force thus allowing permanent layoffs as he sees fit.
Whether you believe in conspiracy theories or not, it's obvious that Trump's #1 objective as POTUS is to battle the Deep State and basically drain the swamp. I think he definitely has a hit list of people he thinks are working for the DS and they will soon lose their jobs and both republicans and democrats will get the ax. He wants to clean house and get rid of these vermin. Sit back and watch, it's about to happen.
And then magically a few days after the 30 day mark, Nancy and Chuck will cave in and give him the necessary funding to build the wall.
More proof no one knows what Trump will do, which is his style. He doesn't show his hand. A purposeful distraction. He's done that from day one. A very odd style for politics that he brought with him from his executive days. Don't let them know what you're thinking. lol

Did she talk about the security risk of foreign trips and the demands she would put on security with them.

I agree with you. She's been around a long time and is smart and very capable. She's not used to however a President that doesn't fear her and will stand up to her without blinking.
