I think it would be funny if he declared an emergency to get his wall. I would personally enjoy watching him squirm as it slowly dawns on him that he cannot force this on anyone. The lawyers and courts will have this tied up until he's out in 2020. Looking forward to the tweets!

Your side has used immigration policy to import tens of millions of voters to cancel out the votes of native Americans and for decades has used the mainstream media to warp voters' morals as well as their understanding of the world around them. Your side is guilty of permanent and profound election interference, and nothing could be sillier than talking about Russian election interference in 2016.

After a federal employee has been furloughed for 30 days the president can fire them. The theory is that there are certain people he is trying to get rid of, that he couldn't get rid of before, and that he will just basically hire 90% of the people back after firing them.
However, I don't see why he would say it was an announcement regarding the boarder if that was what he was going to do.
