Love him or hate him, George F. Will is brilliant. The man is probably one of the most eloquent, articulate and intellectual opinion writers of any journalist, on either side of the political spectrum. While there are things I really don't like about Will (his effusive praise of all things Reagan, his denial of mankind's role in climate change, etc.) I still have to read him whenever I see his opinion piece, because I know I am going to learn something.
Here is a particularly telling paragraph:
One wonders when you read the "brilliant" Will, when he was critical of Obama or your ideology, if you ever started a thread about it?
If not, then I suspect you effuse praise of him is just cover to try not to be hypocritical, and another excuse to keep the anti-Trump threads going on a daily basis.
You're welcome. Obama get's compared due to him being the previous guy in office and the one many of us see as one of the most incompetent and corrupt.
Trump is actually trying to get things done. Obama was just a pretty face with few skills.
Yet the economy is great. Unemployment is low. Energy and gasoline is cheap. China is caving on trade deals. We are at least trying to secure our border. The entire world now either respects, fears, or likes us. You're just wrong.
No dude - that's you.
Companies are laying off hand over fist. We continue to bleed manufacturing jobs. Coal didn't make that comeback. The middle class still needs a raise; wages are not keeping up with inflation.
But if you want to work a minimum wage job - yeah; those are plentiful.
And - the entire world is laughing their ass off at us.

George Will never had much credibility with the "populace", he only has credibility with intellectuals, and then this credibility is openly and frequently questioned. Will is barely noticed by 90% of the voting public. The media, and especially writers like Will, and openly scorned by Trump loyalists, as is anyone who dare criticize the man, but I agree, if people want to get rid of Trump, nominate either an independent or a Democrat and vote him out of office.
Right now I'd say the advantage clearly lies with Trump being reelected.
Actually, it appears as if Will is speaking for the people. Trump is tanking and looking weaker and weaker. Whoever is claiming Trump is more popular are either paid or living in an alternate right universe.
OP is probably referring to that fool that spent 8 years in the white house and accomplished absolutely nothing more than forcing his healthcare solution on everyone (failed) and being the food stamp god. Goes by Barry
America has had some really low spots in our few hundred year history , but this current Trump Presidency is right there at the top of the heap. People all over the world are thinking we have lost our minds and our moral compasses.
Oh no!!! I’m soooo embarrassed.
