Trump can't get out of his own way but I don't think he really cares about any of those things.
His base does though. Nobody really knows what Trump's actual positions are. He used to be a New York Democrat who has the sexual fidelity of a tomcat. It takes a special kind of person to believe that he is all of a sudden a champion of "Christian family values" like his base believes he is.
Im not aware of the military ever suffering a shortage of drugs.
Most people don't and probably will never see combat in the military. If they are allowed to openly serve as transgenders in the military, then military is responsible for all their medical expenses. Too much of a liability, simply not worth it.
If you guys (not saying you) must make it a discrimination issue, then stay mad. <shrug>
Perhaps not but there is no way to guarantee that.
uh huh, the point is they are liability and probably not worth it. Just like once upon a time, the army is entertaining the idea to allow mentally ill people serving. Not worth it.

Yes, military would be responsible for their medical expenses, but its not like sex changes and/or cosmetic surgeries apply though, if it did, a regular hetero soldier could say he needs a nose job, boob job, etc.
There are still restrictions on these kinds of medical services, a transgnders medical needs would be exactly the same as anyone elses imo, we all have the same bodies, just because they are 'transgender' does not mean they are suddenly entitled to medical services that are not medically necessary.

It is not worth it, how many times people have to argue about this?
They don't allow a lot of people to serve, for the exact same reasons. Nobody is saying transgender folks need to be discriminated against. sheesh
Interesting that Bader is still ruling on cases when she can't even make it into the court and the one video of her that has emerged shows her being in really really bad shape. She can't do anything, apparently without two assistants to move her body.
Such hypocrisy in these posts. Conservatives harp endlessly about the importance of working and supporting oneself at least until age 70 but can't wait until Ginsburg hits the grave so they can appoint another Kavanaugh.
look up the phrase "Unit cohesion" and get back to me
For the record, it is not a complete ban, but rather serve under certain restrictions. Those restrictions not clarified thus far in the reporting. One of them is however, if qualifications are met, they must serve as their biological sex, but can still be openly transgender. Not sure how that plays into your "Unit Cohesion" comment.
