I am against the wall, as I think it's immoral, but I also do not control the government. The deal I proposed splits the difference between Republicans (5 billion) and Democrats (1.3 billion), includes the possibility of a wall, and offers DACA protections for three years so they'll be safe if Trump gets voted out in 2020.
It's obvious to me that Trump, Congressional Republicans, and Congressional Democrats would rather wreck the country than lose to the other party. And that's not okay for any of them.
Let's spend 5 billion for the wall. Any cost overrun comes out of Trump's pocket.
A bank or other private lender would not consider investing $ billions unless the borrower had a well vetted plan. Yet, there is an expectation Congress should do so.
Where is the plan?
Trump has publicly stated Mexico will pay for the wall.
Trump has said he knows construction better than anyone.
Trump has publicly stated the wall would cost $4- 22 billion and nearly every $ in between.
The Trump has stated it would be made out of concrete and rebar.
Where is the plan?
How many feet?
How much private land needs to be seized via Eminent Domain? What will this cost, including litigation and appeals? How long will it take to do so?

Mind explaining how inanimate object such as a wall to protect our country from illegal entrants is immoral?
The question as to whether the US should/should not permanently accept DACA recipients as part of society has nothing to do with the question of whether the wall is a good or cost-effective idea. They have no relationship to one another and the premise that these people’s future is a toss-in bargaining chip to get wall funding is not only absurd, it is reprehensible.
Imagine your town tied your child’s right to participate in an honors class in high school to a district-wide agreement to repave the driveway in front of the school. Absurd stuff on its face.
