In addition to potentially importing criminals, the critical issue is admitting a large group of uneducated, unskilled, illiterate people in the US who will be federal dependents. There is a huge economic cost to pay for open borders and the US cannot feed, clothe, and house every poor person on the planet.
I'm so confused at how immigrants are both stealing jobs and desperately poor. What are these jobs that Americans are crying over losing that keep people in poverty?

Honestly no reason to deflect, just stating a fact. You think the Dems are the only ones with supposed incentive to continue to allow illegals to come in? Pretty obvious that the most effective things we couled do would be to heavily fine any company or business entity for knowingly hiring illegals, yet, neither party seems to have the political will to do so...
