Ignore the problems........like jobs being offered. I look at it different. Address that or let let come by the millions.

The main thing with the Wall is to prevent millions more illegal immigrants coming from Mexico.

The rest of us want something which would actually work.

And anyone with a brain realizes that you need some kind of barrier. Which is why we already have a partial-barrier. And if we didn't, the "problem" would be far worse than it already is.
According to who? Statistics show border crossings peaked in 1985 and again in 2000, and then fell by about 50% in a matter of few years before any walls were built.

The claim was Dems have not done anything to secure the border, and I proved it wrong. They proposed a whole slew of measures. The "amnesty" part was for DACA people who are already in US, and we know a wall would do nothing about them, so it is irrelevant. It was only as an excuse for GOP to reject the border security bill.

Impossible. We can not deport what might be up to 30 million people. There is no way to do that.

Why are you not interested in getting many to leave on their own which mandatory e-verify would do?

They go on to say that, "Walls and fences are only a speed bump. People who want to come to the United States to obtain employment will continue to go over, under, and around the walls and fences that are constructed."

They also wrote...

"Politicians, media spokespersons, and illegal immigrant advocates like to mislead the public into believing a temporary guest worker program will solve illegal immigration in the United States. The amnesty that passed in 1986 used the same fundamentally flawed theory and resulted in an increase of people illegally entering the United States for years to follow. As long as the number of people who want to come to the United States to work is greater than the number of temporary guest worker permits, people will continue to enter the United States illegally in search of work."

Media FAQ | National Border Patrol Council

The border patrol actually said we need to...

"Abolish the National Border Patrol Strategy and reallocate a portion of the resources to the interior of the country. Using Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Border Patrol agents... to target employers who hire illegal aliens... Including at day labor sites, illegal alien encampments, and locations where illegal aliens typically congregate on city streets throughout the country... And finally, the United States must cut-off all benefits to illegal aliens to guarantee illegal aliens will return to their country of origin."

Basically they said, we need more ICE agents to arrest illegals on the streets, and to raid known illegal-immigrant camps. And further, we need to cut off all benefits to illegal-aliens. If we don't do these things, then walls and fences will continue to be essential but will not do enough.

Do you agree with them? And why does the Border Patrol Union support Trump? Why don't they support the democrats? Have they ever supported the democrats? Or do they rightly believe the democrats are a bunch of morons?
Glad you agree the wall is useless as an effective long term deterrent, esp considering the cost. Yes we need to enforce more against employers.

Red states are big hypocrites in that regard. Maybe the blue states will start chipping in when the red state hypocrisy stops

Few states are addressing that issue. It's not going to stop until people quit being so partisan over this issue.

How could any of them have not committed a crime such as felony ID theft to work or tax evasion by working for cash? Sorry, but I don't think any of them should be able to use their families as an excuse to remain here. The courts already struck down DAPA. Since when do American law breakers get a pass just because they have families?

We already have several guest worker programs and how are Americans to get back their construction jobs, etc. back by allowing illegal aliens to remain here? There is something we can do about illegal aliens whether or not they have families and that is to deport them as they are found. They can take their families with them back to their homelands including their anchor babies or leave them here as long as we have the PC policy of deeming them citizens of our country.

I agree on the wall. Good physical barriers have already proven to work very effectively and the Border Patrol wants them to protect themselves and to make their jobs easier.
