I don't think so. If he were going to declare a national emergency he would have done it already. Do you know how hard it was for him to capitulate today? You better believe he would not have done that had there been another way.

Ahhh, its so cute watching the OP try to blame the Democrats for what Trump took great pride in.

My guess? Trump will see the writing on the wall, and either compromise with Pelosi, or try the emergency route. No one is going to buy the "Pelosi shutdown" nonsense. LOL. Despite OP's attempts.

I think Congress will come to some compromise and Trump will sign it. He will say it’s a win and everyone will know he’s lying. Same old story.

If they agree on another measure and sign off on a diffrent DHS Bill as they call it - can’t jump in later with wall earmark or push the emergency button. Now we see what they come up with. Next year he can say it did not work n then demand his wall again. Tonight he eats 3 fat bacon burgers

There will not be a wall regardless. The people who own that land along the border will put up a big fight. It will be years and years before anything happens and Trump will be long gone. There isn’t going to be any wall in the next decade. Pelosi knows it, McConnell knows it, Trump knows it. The only people who don’t know it are the cultists.

It's not complicated at all. Start enforcing the laws that are on the books and stop letting people in who don't belong here.

I give it a 50/50 chance of Trump signing whatever Congress passes or another shutdown.

Yes I get that but they were as likely to get the Dems to negotiate before the midterms as after.

Why wait.

If it is such an emergency -- why did he wait almost a full two years.

How did Pelosi cause the shutdown. Sorry, it’s all on Trump. And there is no national emergency
