You can talk about Venezuela. You can talk about the Progressive movement in the US Democratic Party. Two separate topics as they have nothing in common.
Yes they are and I apologize for the miscommunication.

If people of Venezuela want to change their government then they should do it on their own. It's obvious not all people in Venezuela want change. The news media makes lot of claims that a majority of people want Maduro out I'm not so sure that's true. What ever the case doesn't matter anyway we should not be involved.
But but, how else is Trump going to have his wag the dog moment?

All jokes aside, I am not in favor of starting wars unless it's to defend ourselves or our allies. We are a superpower so it would seem like we're a bully if we engage in wars unprovoked. With that said, I think we should support our Latin American allies if they ask for our help dealing with the Venezuelan refugee crisis resulting from a corrupt government.... If helping means trying to deal directly with what's causing the crisis, so be it.

We overthrew the elected governments in Guatemala and Honduras, that did not go well.

The political donors must be satisfied and rewarded with contracts.
The next meat grinder works as well as the last meat grinder.
Venezuela has potential.

Socialist Venezuela actually succeeded very well under Chavez; illiteracy reduced to almost zero, poverty cut in half, the most equality in South America. Chavez’s untimely death, huge economic pressure from the US and its allies and support for a dangerous opposition, and the collapse of oil prices have brought it to its unfortunate current state.

It was collapse of oil prices which plunged the country into economic term oil because Chavez welfare state was funded by oil sales. Oil prices will never return to the peak which it was as more and more electric and hybrid cars hit the roads oil consumption will continue to go down. Since oil fracking is really only done in the US if it's also done world wide that will cause oil prices to drop even more.

The same people saying the usa should stay out of Venezuela are probably the same ones who will be complaining about Venezuelan refugees seeking asylum here.

Then you would agree that those countries in Central America that people are fleeing from are shining examples of unfettered capitalism.

The US elites can smell the oil in Venezuela. Soon enough we will hear about how the US cares about the freedom of the people. Looks like Iraq all over again. However there is one major difference here and that is that Putin said to the US, "hands off." As Trump has been doing Putin's bidding on other issues he will probably do as Putin has told him on Venezuela.

BTW, have you noticed that the US never bothers with countries without oil or money?
