Are All Publiclly Funded Things Socialism? (dollars, leader, examples, government)

Is everything in the U.S that is funded by tax dollars examples of socialism in the U.S? Or is there more to actual socialism than that?

Examples here in the US are for socialized costs. In a social government they maintain tight control over production and wealth distribution. A company is not owned by private individuals but owned by everyone. The success of such a society is entirely dependent on good leadership and everyone pulling their own weight.
