Some of our school systems are undeniably lacking.

Wow, I never thought of that! Hunh...... kinda takes the bloom off the rose for Kamala. Or should. But it won't.

Ok.......

So again, why are so many of the refugees not content to stop in Mexico, which has offered them asylum?

Conservatives also rail against capitalism when they denigrate tech corporations just because they're in California and don't only disseminate Breitbart-like info on their networks; also when they want the government to step in and forced tariffs all over the place.

Also, not all countries with "socialism" are like Venezuela - go look at the living standard in Europe, which is arguably a lot better than it is here. Socialism vs capitalism is not a binary black and white thing.

Come on, you can't possibly be so naive as you'd like to suggest. The migrants are focusing on jobs and money, not political philosophy.

Uh, the OP obviously doesn't realize that Venezuelas problems are largely related to the Great Game - that is, Capitalism and Oil. It has NEVER been, even under US backed governments, a place where the country was able to keep a lot of their own wealth. Most every major power in the world has major operations there to develop (some would say steal) the oil and other resources.

In other words - they are largely a Banana Republic that is the result of Globalism, Oil and Capitalism. It's not much different from asking why are WV and parts of KY so poor and terrible when they had billions of dollars worth of resources AND USA grade capitalism?

Then answer is simple. Capitalism stole their stuff also. Sign on the dotted line (make your X) and we (wall street, london) own your stuff forever. You can be poor and work for us.

Oil Socialism? That's like Alaska where they cut a check to every resident for oil revenues. I think a province in Canada does that also. Last time I looked the residents of Ohio, WV and KY didn't get squat for their resources.
