Prayers offered by strangers had no effect on the recovery of people who were undergoing heart surgery, a large and long-awaited study has found.
And patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications like abnormal heart rhythms, perhaps because of the expectations the prayers created, the researchers suggested."
Summary - pray only for your own soul. Or your dogs. Or cats. Praying for others harms them or, at best, does them no good.
BTW, the studies were funded by a devout person who had lots of money and wanted to prove the power of prayer...but accepted the results.

Who are you to tell me no? If I want to do something and it makes me feel good how dare you tell me not to do it....Did it hurt you to get prayed for?
Unity? From Trump? Okay, I get it, he's going to use this speech to announce his resignation. There's a vast majority of us who would feel unified about approving that.
He should have Melania present something about cyber bullying during the SOTU. In the same vein of irony or something, after all.
