"Long-Awaited Medical Study Questions the Power of Prayer
By BENEDICT CAREYMARCH 31, 2006

Prayers offered by strangers had no effect on the recovery of people who were undergoing heart surgery, a large and long-awaited study has found.

And patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications like abnormal heart rhythms, perhaps because of the expectations the prayers created, the researchers suggested."

Summary - pray only for your own soul. Or your dogs. Or cats. Praying for others harms them or, at best, does them no good.

BTW, the studies were funded by a devout person who had lots of money and wanted to prove the power of prayer...but accepted the results.

Well, sure, he's got speechwriters because, unlike Obama and Clinton, Trump couldn't write much beyond his usual ungrammatical juvenile tweets.

But if he talks about unity - the guy who insults people right and left - I wonder if anyone will burst out laughing at the hypocrisy.

Any Democrat who even watches this is a sucker. Don't give him any of your attention. That's all he wants.

NOT OUR PRESIDENT!

Who are you to tell me no? If I want to do something and it makes me feel good how dare you tell me not to do it....Did it hurt you to get prayed for?

Who are you to tell someone to not tell you what to do?

A message of unity coming from the Great Divider ? He has yet to show the ability to compromise in order to make progress for the general welfare.

Unity? From Trump? Okay, I get it, he's going to use this speech to announce his resignation. There's a vast majority of us who would feel unified about approving that.

He should have Melania present something about cyber bullying during the SOTU. In the same vein of irony or something, after all.
