His schtick is simple:

Strawman, exaggerated "liberal" position. Attack it with pointed language and trigger words. Folks cheer him as an intellectual because he confirmed something somewhere that they agree with.

That's not a real debate. It's a show.

If you read the article, it says they came prepared with a rebuttal for why restrictions on immigration shouldn't be lightened. The opposing team, rather than present facts, came with a "slam poem". If your position is to actually debate the points made by the first team, and the first team doesn't have a set of points, what the heck are you supposed to do?

LOL, these kids are great students of Ben Shapiro.

They basically flipped the argument and the other side fell for it.

Affirmative Argument: Legality does not equal morally right

Negative Argument: Me being white doesnt change if something is legal or not, and the same is true of any color . I dont have to be apart of an oppressed group(aka lived experience ) to understand them.

Classic Shapiro. The problem is, having the ability to understand and actually UNDERSTANDING are not one in the same.

No one challenged their ability here. Just their actual understanding.

Just sayin'.
There can be no debate about something posted that is wrong to start with. No one was disqualified. That the article states that, makes the article not worthy of further discussion.

Actually, it's a part of debate. Just like footnotes in a book to back up and give credit for assertions.

Does this really need to be explained??

I have nothing good to say about Shapiro, but the point is that the judge is an anti-White racist activist, and his ruling violates the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause.

Yet you can't really refute what he says.

You don't get to make the rules. As if someone who promotes theft and doesn't care about rights should be listened too.

It's about the content and not the person being quoted. Adults understand content, the ignorant make it about the speaker.

Good, this kid must not understand what a repulsive human being Shapiro is.
