NY Post article also reports that they found a hot sauce bottle at the crime scene with bleach in it.
I find it strange that a NY Post reporter found this bottle of “bleach” last week but not the FBI or local police who have been investigating this incident since last month!
I wonder why they keep saying “believed to be bleach”?
Because household bleach is mostly water and the active ingredient (sodium hypochlorite) rapidly breaks down into salt and water at those temperatures.

Jussie Smollett’s neighbors cast doubt on his attack story
Quote:
Nearly two weeks after “Empire” star Jussie Smollett claimed he was the victim of a racist, homophobic attack, cops have yet to identify any suspects — and some people in his tony Chicago neighborhood are growing skeptical.
“I don’t believe it happened the way he said it did,” said Agin Muhammad, who lives in the same swank high-rise near the Navy Pier as Smollett.
“I’ve been in this neighborhood five years. I don’t believe it, not around here … Half the people are gay and the other half are black.”

Ever try to pour something out of a hot sauce bottle? How about put something in one? Even if it was bleach, which they are still unsure, that doesn't make sense. Why would someone leave a bottle that could have prints on it unless they wanted someone to find a bottle!
Looking like more of a hoax as time passes.
