Clearly, it would be national news if a former president inserted himself in a high-profile case such as this one. There is no evidence that this has happened.

Jussie Smollett is a Hollywood celebrity who also checks a number of other boxes on the Democrat left's "Identity politics" hierarchy of 'social justice'. The Democrat left has corrupted our system of justice and it can no longer be trusted to adjudicate matters based on whether the accused's conduct violates the law, but instead preferential treatment is openly granted based on the person's politics, their celebrity status, their sexual practices and of course the color of their skin.
If anyone here had any doubts about this shocking truth, the dismissal of these charges against Smollett should go a long way towards clearing up your confusion on this point.

Agreed, there are federal offenses in here. Not just filing a police report, but an attempt at fraud (trying to raise his profile and thus his salary through making a fraudulent threat of terror) communicated to a third party that he knew or should have known would cause fear and using the US mail to do it.
Jussie has some mental issues to develop a plan like this and now it will be worsened by a sense of invincibility due to this strange court ruling. Not a good combination to have.
Don't know what comes first for him, the mental breakdown, drug overdose, or suicide.
Peoples with Personality disorders like his don't feel remorse. It will never be his fault. Never.
