Morning Joe is a complete douchbag. He's trying to discredit Schultz and make him go away as all of the Dems are afraid of the guy.

Do all of these leftist pinheads all have meetings and sit down and take marching orders. It's kind of creepy to see how all of these people start chanting the same mantras on all of the political talking shows.
bolded is 100% accurate.

I wonder if Harris or Warren knew the answer, before this question was asked of him. I bet they know now though.

And why would you care if a candidate knows how much Cheerios cost? Are there not more important criteria for evaluation that we can could come up with?

What's next week gonna be? Does he know the selling price for Crest white strips?

People are ridiculous.
I agree completely. When I shop I will grab the most economical size, of a brand I like, including Cheerios but don't pay enough attention to the price to remember it later. I really can't tell you the price of anything other than the ground beef at Costco that varies from $23-$28 depending on the weight of the package, and I think their huge package of toilet paper is about $15.

It was much more. We were in a recession, sick of war mongers, overdue for a generational change, and Clinton/Gore just organically emerged as very popular (and did in fact win the popular vote).
But just like Hillary, they didn't get a majority of the votes....and got an even lower percentage of the total votes cast than Trump did in 2016.

(I was one of those votes though. I voted for Bill)

Schultz scares Dems because they see Nader around every electoral bush and under every electoral stone. They are still convinced Nader robbed them of the Gore presidency, same as idiot Republicans who think it was Perot and not GHWB's 37% approval rating that cost them GHWB's reelection.

Schultz is offering boilerplate midwestern Democrat policies from the 50s/60s. Nothing really imaginative about it, but it's moderate to a party in no mood for moderation, to paraphrase Leibermann.

And like Trump in 2016, the "billionaire with a dream" is scary becase he doesn't need the DNC machine, money or influence. He can say whatever he wants, wherever he wants to whomever he wants. He can split the Democrat machine's targeting, which they would like to keep solely on Trump, which they know weakens their "vote for "not Trump" strategy, since he becomes an additional "not Trump", just a saner choice than whichever socialiste du jour manages to snatch the golden ticket.

He causes a serious electoral problem for them, and they know it, which is why the marginalization, appeal to ridicule, ad hominem machine is already gearing up to tear him down. Trump is simply goading Schultz from the Right because he knows as well as I do that Schultz is an awesome spoiler and message shredder.

For folks in my camp, all dozen or so of us in the whole US...it's going to make for super fun theater come late 2019/early 2020. his will be one of the more entertaining election seasons of my lifetime, that's for sure.

You might look to Richard Branson for the answer there.

“Take Care Of Your Employees And They’ll Take Care Of Your Business,”

I'll give him credit for understanding it's cheaper to keep a good employee as opposed to constant turn over and constant training. I have to imagine his clientele would abandon his $5.00 coffee's if they were constantly screwed up as much as McD's .99 cent hamburgers.

You probably have a point about the parties being gun shy over third party candidates but not even during the Tea Party uprising was anyone willing to cut Social Security.

Schultz is the best chance moderate Democrats have. The party has listed so far to the left, that the things they're proposing are insane and appeal only the farthest left, activist crowd.

Killing babies AFTER they're born? That's not in keeping with the mainstream Democrats values. Taking away everyone's health insurance plans? No Democrat with a decent health care plan is going to be on board for having the government take it away & replace it with government health care. Raising taxes on the middle class? How is that even a serious talking point? Keeping the border wide open? Normal Democrats aren't in favor of that. etc. etc.

The Democrats need Schultz to make some noise as an independent & siphon some moderate votes away. Only then will the party have to right itself and move back to the center. It's really the opposite of how Bernie Sanders forced Hillary to come much further left in 2016.
